Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating is another way of distributing heat around your house. Instead of having radiators, coils of pipe are placed underneath the floors in your home.

These pipes are heated by your boiler and then radiate heat.

Seeing as the pipes are more evenly distributed the water temperature that passes through them does not have to be heated as high which makes them more cost effective.

They are also a key requirement if you have a Heat Pump as they help reduce the level of energy required from your heat pump in order to heat your home.

They do allow for greater control, individual room thermostats can be applied.

If you have any questions regarding Heat Pumps take a look at our Heating Advice Library, alternatively find out more about Warm Air Systems.
